WIPocalypse 2016 - January

Autumn Mystery, by Pamela Kellogg. I finished stitching this central section, and started on the backstitch.

Not Forgotten, by Dragon Dreams. Finished stitching the gryphons and the top of the boat. I ran out of the brown for the boat about 48 stitches before I was done - good thing I hadn't emptied my ort jar for the year yet. I found little short pieces of floss to finish the last few stitches. Next up for this: the yetis.

The Snowflower Diaries: Haunted House freebie. I cut a piece of darker fabric for this, but I cut it WAY too small, so I decided to use a larger piece of lighter fabric I had. Now I'm thinking the ghost girl may be too close to the color of the fabric. I don't know whether to a.) give up, b.) backstitch around her in a slightly darker color, or c.) figure she'll look more ghostly if she's harder to see. I may keep stitching the stuff around her for a bit and see if it makes any difference. Hmmm.

Magical Creatures Calendar by Cloud Factory. I'm stitching this on the called-for fabric (i.e. Crystal Jazz, by Picture This Plus. This is the beginning of January - Frost the Centaurus.

Sorry for the crummy pictures - my daughter used my camera to take snow pictures, and I think it might have messed up the camera (or maybe I'm just a crummy photographer).

2015 WIPocalypse - July II

Oops! I missed the check-in at the beginning of the month, but here's a little progress for the Blue Moon July WIPocalypse check-in.
Just a Little Autumn, by Sandra Dering of San-Man Originals. I finished this cute little freebie. Pardon the crease - I haven't washed, pressed, or even decided exactly how I'm going to finish this.

Freebie by Sandi Marshall. This was my first real attempt at 1 over 1 stitching, and I think it will make a darling addition to my Halloween tree.

Autumn Mystery, by Pamela Kellogg. I stitched most of the pumpkin (just a little left around the edge), and started the last big leaf.

Not Forgotten, by Jennifer Aikman-Smith of Dragon Dreams. I got a little start on the gryphons (to the left of Noah).

WIPocalypse 2015 - June

Just a Little Autumn, by Sandra Dering of San-Man Originals: Got some work in on the pumpkin and the border and finished stitching the word "autumn".

Autumn Mystery, by Pamela Kellogg: Finished stitching the leaf.

Not Forgotten, by Jennifer Aikman-Smith of Dragon Dreams: Stitched Noah's beard, hair, and face, and did the internal backstitching for his beard. Also, finished stitching and backstitched the dragon on the roof and added enough of the rainbow that I could complete the backstitching on the other dragon.

WIPocalypse 2015 - May

Not Forgotten, by Dragon Dreams. I added Noah's robe and second hand and started working on the second dragon (on the roof).

Autumn Mystery, by Pamela Kellogg. I finished (finally!) stitching the grapes (LOTS of color changes), and did just a little work on a leaf.

Just a Little Autumn, by San Man Originals. I started this freebie just because I'd get to make more than 2 stitches in a given color at a time!
So, as you can see, not much progress since last year, but a little. I'm hoping I've got a little momentum back, but we shall see.

WIPocalypse 2014 - November Update

Well, I didn't do any stitching all summer long. In early October, I started to get back into the swing of things, though, and here are the results:

I did a little Halloween stitching of ornaments for my Halloween tree, but I never got them "ornamentified". Maybe next year! They are: RIP (a freebie from The Stitcherhood), Halloween Cross Stitch #10 (The Floss Box), and just a few of the monsters from Monster Conga Line (by Reliquary Arts on etsy).

Autumn Mystery, by Pamela Kellogg. I finished stitching kitty's face, and started work on the red grapes.

Not Forgotten, by Dragon Dreams. I finished the roof peak, finished the first unicorn, added the second unicorn, Noah's crook, and some background, and backstitched the unicorns and part of the dragon.

WIPocalypse 2014 Update - June

Autumn Mystery - Worked on his face a little.

Not Forgotten - Started the roof on the boat and started the first unicorn onboard.

Clearly, I didn't get much stitching done this month, but it's summer, after all!

WIPocalypse 2014 - May Update

Not Forgotten, by Dragon Dreams. This month, I added the first creature onboard the ship - a dragon!

Autumn Mystery, by Pamela Kellogg. I pulled out what I had done on the lower plum (one stitch off - story of my life), stitched the plums, filled in kitty's ears, and started working on the middle of his face (lots of shades of gray).
